It seems my hip injury may be piriformis syndrome whcih seems similar to TOS except in the hip. My PT says my sacroliliac jont ,cocxix and hip flexor are out of wack.My GP says its just a pulled muscle and the Ortho says it could be a lumbar disc. At this pt I am more inclined to listen to my PT ,Dr. Ando who has been SUCESSFULLY treating my TOS. Also I know I injured it from limping and being on crutches as opposed to a long term RSI for the TOS.
I am hoping it is very temporary but it hurts like hell to sit and lay down .Its been a little over 2 weeks. Iwill look for it on another Thresd, but wanted to see if anyone here has had it and how did it compare to TOS /easier /harder to treat.? Is it related in any way to having TOS and why are my Bones and joints all going out of wack??? Thanks for any input/advice. JKL p.s. It could also be Sacrolialiac Joint Dysfunction. I'm not sure of the difference yet |

I feel it mostly in groin /top of thigh area. sometimes in right buttock. It urts to sit and lay down. Some radiated pain in my shin and outside of thigh.I wake uop in the night in pain. Standing and Walking is better. I am sure it was because I was on cructhces, limping and putting weight on that leg after I sprained my calf muscles on the other side.

Does it radiate from you groin down to your thigh and shin, in other words, is it continuos pain? And would you say growing to upper thigh pain is rather in your ischial tuberosity?
What type of pain is it, numbness tingling or dull and achy? |

You should use google to research a little bit more of your pain and to find what the ischial tuberosity is, its the butt bone basiically.
I have high hamstring tendinosis which gives me a dull achy pain in my ischial tuberosity. Im currently doing PT to try to fix it. I thought it was piriformis syndrome at the start and after reading some forums a lot of other people have too. Thats not say it might not be |

Also I only feel pain when sitting, and somewhat, not as intense when lying down. Walking and standing are fine
