You need to be conscious of keeping your ribs from elevating.

Are you doing your gliding in the mirror to make sure your posture is staying neutral? I have to be in the mirror or I lose posture. If your rib cage rises your 1st rib rises. If your rib cage is rising perhaps exhaling during the motion will keep you neutral or actually lower the ribs instead.

this is great advice

i actualyl subconsciously press down on my chest/pecs ribs when doing nerve glides and stretching. and sometimes i do them in front of a mirror. i need to do mirror ALL THE TIME

+++
i have mastered doing nerve glides lying down
i can move my arms around a LOT more without tingling
i have full thoracic mobility now (really i have for the last 6 mos..i just realized it about a month ago)

if it werent for work i think i could actually be able to do them standing too. the computer is effing flaring me up. ive been on it way too much lately. i def have pec minor syndrome in addition to god knows what. work has been really screwing me up. i almost wish i looked as bad as i felt and then people would get off my case
