when you guys rest your elbows on an armrest and unload your shoulder armpit, tension do your fingers tingle
according to a pdf i just read people who experience this are tos "releasers" as opposed to "compresssors" im just curious if it's true and there really is a big different between the two. i wonder if im both or just a releaser. im definitely not just a compressor

it is confusing bc i always assume tingling is bad, swinging my arms when i walk has got to be compression, i wouldn't consider this a good thing but resting my arms on an arm rest i would think of is good
![]() head hurts Release Phenomenon -during daily activities, the brachial plexus is being pulled down -when a nerve is very slightly stretched (8% beyond its normal, resting length) venous pooling occurs around the nerve -this inhibits blood flow to the peripheral nerves Release Phenomenon • In sitting and standing, the nerves are under tension, due to the effects of gravity • When the person goes to bed, the tension on the nerves is gradually released At the moment the normal function returns, (typically with sleeping at night),the axons fire and patient’s experience parasthesias .........• When the scapular muscles are weak, the scalene muscles can often become “overworked”. • These muscles are responsible for elevating the first rib (occurs more with compressors, but can also be seen with releasers)

i found one answer already
Scapular Downward Rotation • Inferior angle of scapula closer to spine than superior angle • Tend to have large, heavy arms • Associated with RELEASING

where are you finding this, I would like to read up on it. It sounds like I am a releaser. My arms and hands have tingled for years went i put them on arm rests, never knew what it was, i just quit doing it. then in 2011 it got really bad.
