Default 1 week post surgery

Well, I am trying to take less pain meds, and there is a burning in my clavicle and shoulder area. This really stinks. I hate the way I feel on the pain meds, we will see how it goes. I was just awarded a partial disability from my pension, which took 10 months now. The good thing is that I will finally have some money coming in.

Keep resting, hopefully the pain starts to fade some. I'm glad you were able to get partial disability, it has been a huge relief for me. Easier to heal when we're not stressing other things too.

I'm glad you were finally able to get something.

I'm lucky not to have many side effects from hydrocodone (Norco/Vicodin), so I stayed on the pain meds for several weeks. What are you taking?

Marc, taking I am taking vicodin. It just makes me feel real out of it, like I am not really thinking clearly and in a zone. I think I would feel better with a few Long Island Iced Teas...lol

Are you taking Vicodin 10/500 or 5/500? Maybe try just taking half a pill and see if you tolerate it better. Are you taking an NSAID?

taking 5/500 vicodin. I have tried just a half, that is what I am currently doing. It has been a bit better. They also have me on 600mg Gabapentin and 600mg ibuprofen 3x day. I am sure it is just going to take time.

The clock starts tick next month when I sign the pension papers. I have 5 years to get back to the police department I worked at, where they have to give me my position back according to Ohio Law. There will be a lot of therapy involved, a lot of pain along the way, but I never backed down from a challenge.
