Does the surgery help w/ the awful pain in the neck and shoulder?

It should help with much of it, those extra c ribs are crowding the muscles, veins/arteries/ nerves opening up the area should help.

The nerve & blood flow is being affected by the crowding and causes spasms & muscle irritations= pain & discomfort.

It sure helped me!

That is a relief to hear, I think that burning pain in the neck and shoulders is the worst part of it all. Yes the numbness is aggravating but the neck pain drives me absolutely crazy! I got my surgery date today, Oct. 30. I am hopeful that it doesnt change!

Yes! For me, it did. 3 months post-op (cervical rib removal, scalene removal, and aneurysm repair), my neck and shoulder pain are way down. Physical therapy since surgery has helped me a lot, too. I wish you the best!

When did you start PT? Like how long after the sugery did the doc recommend starting PT? How long before you could drive again? I have a standard car and i'm having my Rt. side done are you able to use your arm at all after the sugery?

Oh, What about exercise? Can your resume working out? Running, Cardio, Ect.?

So i had my botox injections done today and WOW... that hurt like Hell and still does..

He is the best in the area and has had my case since day 1. this TOS is the worst most painful destroyed my life thing on the planet. has completely destroyed my life. Cannot work am on SSDI have worked my whole life and am dependent on synthetic morphine patches as i have gone through every pain medication available. C5-C-6-C7 surety 26 yeas ago i made it 18 years then TOS develop from compensating from the damage to the right arm and hand and TOS has destroyed my life in every way possible. I pray daily as i have lost everything. Family all my friends everyone I ever knew. I am totally dependent on this medication or the pain will be so unbearable you can't function. I have called and scoured the web everyone there is to contact. NO HELP. pool therapy was my only relief and SSDI and the healthcare system cut me off with quotas.
My life has been destroyed. Trusted a loved one who used, abused, robbed, lied and left me for dead right after my mother passed away. Denied me what she promise me as she passed intestate stole my identity NOBODY WILL HELP. There is nobody left to contact. I have tried everything possible. called, e-mailed, wrote. EVERYONE fro the local all the way up to the DOJ and everyone in between. Without this medication I will die the pain is SO BAD you have to have it live it to know it. I pray everyday why is there no help for TOS? This is the worst pain on the planet earth. Total numbness when and if i sleep when I awake I can be in a state of paralysis. It has ruined my life and is killing me.
is there a Christian doctor out here in this world anywhere with an answer?
The surgery explained is horrendous. My neurologist says there is only a 20% success rate of any relief. There is nobody left to call. All have abandoned me friends, relatives all have been fooled. I keep on praying and hoping at only 53 there has to be some specialist with an answer than to be dependent forever on this synthetic morphine. I have tried to go without it. It is not possible. If I go to the emergency room hey label you as an "addict" I get no high at all it just makes life tolerable to do the basic functions of life. if anyone has any answer or there are any christian specialists who have an answer please i implore for any help. the Spinal laser institute wants 17K dollars if I had it i wouldn't think twice that is how bad it is. There must be someone in this word with an answer
I pray constantly to the ultimate physician the one and only King of Kings for relief and help to get off this dependency to stay out of pain. My back is a mess also. Spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, spondylosis, L4-L5 bulging disc. By God there has to be somewhere in this world someone somewhere who has an answer. The drugs are just a mask and the side effects are just as bad as the pain. i have been through all the pain killers and fought to get off them. if anyone has an answer i implore for any help at all. This is my personal experience you have to have it and live it to know it everyone is different.
