Exclamation Ca. Injured Workers!!! Please Read!!!

Thanks to a recent post by hopelivehere, I am posting a new thread!!

Everyone in CA. Please!!!

I urge you to visit the Votersinjuredatwork.org site if you were injured on the job!! I tried to post that site on the other TOS forum and had my threads closed.

This organization is made up of INJURED WORKERS like ourselves that are trying to help us get our rightfully deserved benefits!!! They will e-mail you updates whether you join their organization or not!!

They can tell you about their latest efforts to get us back our benefits that have been slashed by Governor Schwarzenegger; including his recent veto of SB815 that would have reinstated permanent disability benefits!!!

Please, please, please !! Visit this site !! Encourage family and friends to visit this site !! They may be in our shoes some day !! Ask them to participate in rallys and protests in our place if they are able to !!

Thanks All,
G~

Default WC savings by denying care and disability benefits

www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2006/09/29/BUG8CLESUE1.DTL&type=business

If the link doesn’t work, go to: www.sfgate.com and click on Business. Scroll down to see the headlines which state: Workers’ Compensation savings are Cheered.

Thumbs up Thanks Hope a Vic!!

This post needs to be bumped until everyone in Ca. Sees it!!

It is really important that we make our voices heard!! There are too many voices from business's and lobbiest's being heard.

I asked a representative at the capital (when calling to voice my complaint) why Arnold wouldn't meet with Votersinjuredatwork.org and he said there were too many other groups that wanted to meet with Arnold and he couldn't meet with them all!!!

I feel that we don't stand a chance at being heard if we and our families and friends don't speak up!!

Wink

All registered CA voters' voices, calls, letters to their legislator, governor, and/or any legislators on a specifc commission DO get counted and do matter. That is why I spend my extra "well" time doing it - it's the most effective way of letting them know.

Then comes peaceful demonstration.

If possible, organizing and showing female or workforce buying power by organizing a day of no sales works incredibly well. It puts panic in every legislators office.

That aside, if your injury AND TD payments were PRIOR to the new law enactment, it is most possible you won't be sujected to the new rules and the drastic cut in permanent disability. This is a huge difference, in most cases.

I know there were abuses in the prior system, but these new changes ONLY hurt the American worker, and I frankly don't like it. At all.

Pray and keep close to your God during this process.

Default Thanks Tam!!

Thanks Tam for your ideas and encouragement!! I wish I were well enough to protest !! I would go to the State Capitol and march with a picket sign!!

I am hoping that others will consider your suggestions and encourage friends and family to participate in them as well!!
