Looks like there are at least 5 new patients of Dr. Donahue right here! He is definitely gonna be one busy TOS Doctor!

I *adore* Dr. Donahue...he did my bilateral rib resections last year and an emergency surgery at 2 am for internal bleeding after the second operation. He visited me in the hospital on Saturday and after hours both times I was there, emailed me at 10 pm, returned my call on a Sunday. I can't say enough good things about him and his team. He is just amazing. I am fortunate to live in Boston, but he will always make you feel like you're his one and only patient whether you are on the phone, in person, or in the operating room.

BDBomg,

That is fortunate! I am so far away from anywhere with a specialist, that it doesn't make a lot of difference to me on the distance. The west coast is too far to travel, but I am keeping an open mind to St. Louis, Baltimore, Boston and Denver.

I have a very complicated situation as I am a single mother with two parents who have their own severe medical problems. My father is going to be having three surgeries throughout this year (rotar cuff tear, knee replacement, invasive back surgery) so not only can he not watch my daughter, but he can't be left alone either! My mother has a herniated disc and is limited on her physical capabilities.. she's going to have to find a way to come with me to my out of state appointments, take care of my three year old and not leave my dad alone! Superwoman, maybe? We will figure it out, but it's going to take some serious planning.

Good luck on your surgery! Definitely keep us posted. Best wishes and happy thoughts going your way.
