https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56rX5eLDO3w I hadn't seen this one before. I see what he's trying to do. I actually use that up and forward position with pillows for support to get relief. But in the case of the exercise, seems like the compression would return right after you dropped the clavicle back down. Unless he's implying that over time the space would open up. Or maybe for people who habitually pull their shoulders back (which pulls the collar bone back), this can help reposition them. What do you think? |

I do a lot of shoulder shrugging, and circles, as part of my joint mobility work. A lot of three dimensional movement. I've been doing that for almost three years now. In the beginning it was painful and my collar bones barely moved, but over time they've actually gotten pretty mobile. My pain levels have dropped a lot too. I've been using a Theracane on that area a lot too, for myofascial release. It's a slow process but it's been well worth the time and effort.

i think the cyriax test is the same concept only better?? ultimately her shoulder is in the wrong position, jmho
