Default DM/Q or Zenvia

Has anyone tried DM or DM/Q for nerve pain? There is a new drug called DM/Q or Zenvia that my Dr. recommended. i cant take the Q(Quinidine) part because it can interfere with my blood issues but I can get the DM from a compounding pharmacy. the only major side effect supposedly is sleepiness ,so he said just to take it at night.Thats fine with me as I have trouble sleeping. I think I will give it a try. He said it may help my flare-ups -decreases nerve sensitivity. I have also been trying alpha-lipoic acid(herbal)-but not regularily enough to see if it works.

I have not tried DM or DM/Q, but my pain clinic wanted me to take Alpha-Lipoic Acid as well as tumeric supplements. I've been taking both religiously for 4 months and my arms have not been an issue (burning, mostly). My function has also increased with minimal negative fall-out.

Ironically, my acupuncturist suggested a supplement called Disc-Flex and it has Alpha-Lipoic acid in it as well, but not as high of dose I take with a stand alone ALA supplement.

I will continue to take it.

I take 600mg of ALA, once per day. I bought it at GNC but once I'm through with this last bottle I was going to research purchasing it through a higher quality provider.

I also take Gaia Tumeric Supreme which I purchased at Whole Foods. I only take one a day too, but as I understand the key to absorption with Tumeric is the product must also contain Black Pepper Fruit. This product does.

These 2 things, plus magnesium are my only staples now. I've weeded everything else out as only providing me with expensive urine.

I will pop a Fish Oil (Nordic Naturals) if I remember, but it rarely happens.
