Default posture

For people with surgery:
Did surgery improve your shoulder position or change it? My left shoulder is my main problem and is higher and more forward --- I wonder if surgery will cause it to go down and back. I know that Dr. Nath corrects BP injuries by re-routing muscles to keep the shoulder back.

Did you guys have shoulder posture issues like mine and did surgery fix it?

Rib resection surgery definitely improved my shoulder posture but did not fix it. Shoulders are back now but still too high. I'm still trying to untangle the shoulder issues with physical therapy and Pilates.

I had surgery on one side almost 22 years ago now and I don't think it helped my posture any. If anything, it probably made it worse.

My posture has improved a lot in the last three years though. Mainly from doing joint mobility exercises, myofascial release,(mainly with a Theracane) and doing a lot of Chinese cupping in the last couple of months.
