Default how you feeling today

I saw a post like this on another of the groups on this forum and I liked the idea of it. I do not know about everyone else out there, but my wife gets tired of me complaining about hurting. And after a while I do not tell her how bad I am in pain. I think just being able to discuss or "dump" what I am feeling might not help the pain, but will help the stress and my sanity.

I had a terrible day yesterday. My daughter was in and I helped move a small cabinet to her car. While we was at dinner, my left arm started burning bad and my shoulder and neck started hurting alot. I think some of the pain was due to the fact that I was between two people and could not keep my left arm in motion. I find that if I do not move my arms and neck every couple of minutes they start hurting. To make things worse it has rained here almost everyday for the last week. so the arthritis in my neck and shoulders was acting up. I ended up taking 1000 mg of tylenol , 800 mg of motrin, putting on the basketball sleeve that I wear to help with the nerve pain and going home. Everyone else went shopping. I got home and got in my recliner, covered my arm with the blanket and did not move the arm or hand for 2 hours. This helped a little and I fail asleep on and off for 2 hours. Yesterday was probably the worse that my TOS has ever bothered me. I was hurting bad enough that I could feel the tears starting to form. I have a high tolerance to pain and normally can deal with it. I thought about going to the VA hospital and see if they could give me a shot to relax the muscles or something to knock me out cold, but it seems like ever time I go to the VA I am accused of being a drug addict. Service connected Disabled Vet at 60% for TOS.

It looks like today is going to be about the same, my left are started burning before I left the house this morning and is just getting worse.

I hope I do not seem like I am *******, but it feels good to get this out.

Moltra, it's okay to share how u r feeling. I'm glad u were able to get some of it out. I wrote about my 20 yrs with TOS on Friday, if u get a chance read it. What u are going through, I've been through it, and still going through it. I know when u feel u r alone. I know when others are not listening. Sometimes we think they r not hearing us, but they are. I think it's hard for them to see us going through this. I know when u stated wearing an arm sleeve, I'm wearing one everyday. My left arm is being affected. I can't tell u about the pain, it's unbelievable. I could go on and on, but if u get a chance, my story tells u everything.
Thanks for sharing your story, and it's good to talk about this. If not, the pain you are experiencing, will cause other painful thoughts to come into your mind.We all need to continue to share our stories, because our stories could be helping someone else. May GOD bless, strengthen, and heal you. I'm praying for u and your family.
