I had surgery at MGH in feb 2015 (rib) and aug 2015 (pec minor) also! How are you doing now? I am about 8 months post rib resection but still experiencing the main symptoms, though some got better.

My TOS symptons have greatly improved because of my redo surgery. However, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I had complications from my first "surgery" in Maryland and these are still present. |

I am also interested in this. It's been a year and although the blood flow is good, pain is still a major issue. I am considering going to Boston to see dr D. I am having an MRI of the brachial plexus next week which was ordered by a local TOS surgeon.

In my opinion, your proposed visit to Dr. Donahue is a wise choice. Some of the posts about him seem too good to be true, but he is a remarkable surgeon.

Hello. I had surgery last April. It was scheduled to be a rib resection but they did not remove my rib. Few days after my surgery I got really sick, thanks to work comp rejecting some medication. Off course this caused me to vomit a lot and I blew a blood vessel in my neck where my incision was causing a Hematoma. I then had to have another surgery to remove it just a month after the first surgery. All in all recovery did not go well and my symptoms are worse. I also came out of surgery with a damaged phrenic nerve so my diaphragm is not working. So after 6 months of worse pain, worse hand numbness, hand going cold and continuing headaches the decision was made to have another surgery. They are going to remove my rib for sure this tis time and do the usual. They are also going to wrap my brachial plexus with embryotic tissue. I am a test patient and I'm ok with that. I hope my results can benefit someone in the future, as I know I will never be 100% again. I just hope this time that it goes well.

I hope you have drs & atty that will make sure all agencies are notified about the WC med denials being the cause of your complications and more surgeries...
Perhaps send copies to government representatives & congress persons..they need to know this is happening to people.
