Default Goddamned Matha is Trying to Take All the Credit Now!

hahaha, just kidding big pede, she is my buddy and it is my sacred duty to give her the hardest of hard times.

i agree wholeheartedly with where this is going. something stinks. bad! you need to get thee to a top medical malpractice attorney STAT. also, as far as a surgeon/witness for your case that is a no-brainer my friend: call dr. alan togut and make an appointment immediately if not sooner to go and see this very fine top TOS doc.

no waiting "4 or 5 months" to see if the phrenic nerve (and god knows what other) damage resolves. no, no. you need to act now, quietly and carefully, to put some things into place for your protection and care. legal team medical team. make those calls. get on the waiting lists. use the pain doc i gave you for sx relief (i don't know if she specializes in TOS but given the PA addy i would be surprised if she were a stranger to cases such as yours).

one important thing you need to understand, and this can be hard, is you need to resist the urge to talk about this with very many people. the fact that the pulmonologist sounds like he might be willing to support you in seeking damages if there is no resolve is a good thing and certainly something you should mention to your attorney straight away. keep this person in your corner (but know that doctors have a way of all sticking together, so be very, very cautious and keep your expectations reasonable - your lawyer will explain it to you better than i can...).

records sometimes have a way of mysteriously "going missing," unfortunately, in a case where there may have been some malpractice albeit on the part of the hospital, the nursing staff, the anesthesiologist, the tech crew, the surgical staff or the surgeon himself. there are many players, and the walls have ears my friend.

don't worry about the standard release forms you were made to sign before you were wheeled into surgery. liability is still liabililty if a reasonably forseeable error occurred and was not corrected, or not cured on a timely basis and resulted in damages to your person sir.

just be a good quiet little boy for now, make nice and politely ask for copies of your surgical report, and when you go to for example the pulmonologist you want to call the surgeon's office manager of course and get up-to=date copies of his notes from your initial and follow-up visit(s) after surgery to bring with you, etc., etc.

you're building a file. these are your personal medical records and you're entitled to them. read them carefully and go over any errors and omissions with your legal representative.

i talk too much.

but not as much as martha.

alison

p.s. i'll bet dr. togut could point you towards a dynamite malpractice dude
