Default Was that a muscle spasm?

Hi guys,

Last night I was in excruciating pain. It started completely out of nowhere, my whole arm was on fire and completely numb and it hurt all the way to my back with a very tender spot on the right hand side of my back. My husband touched it literally made me scream.

I woke with my hand swollen.

Help?

The very tender spot - that probably is a trigger point. Have him press on it till it fades away. The rub the area, drink lots of fluids. You may have more than the one TrP.
*you need to get rid of the TrPs before you can really treat the spasms.

Spasms are when the whole muscle is hard and "locked up"
TrPs are the small very sore spots inside the muscle.

Yep, that is a trigger point. Get a massage. Muscle spasm is more like uncontrollable twitching. It does hurt, just a strange sensation.
