I am to have another mri and more emg studies and I am to try gabapentin. I was taking lyrica until wc decided not to approve it anymore(I did not like taking it anyway), I found it left me so tired, dizzy and with no emotion, like a walking Zombie!!LOL
I would like to thank you all in advance for your imput on gabapentin. Thanks again Hairdresser |

I took Gabapentin (Neurontin) for several years. It really did help me- in fact, it was the only thing that got rid of or took the edge off of the nerve pain from intercostal neuralgia. My PM dr. started me off at a low dose and we slowly increased it. My main complaint was I gained ALOT of weight on it. I had to decide if I wanted to be thinner and in pain, or "chunky" and not in pain- I chose to be chunky....I've since been able to take myself off of it.
