Had VTOS surgery in St. Louis w/Dr Thompson I am pleased with the results but complications with the right lung are permanent. They are an elevated diaphragm and two thirds of that lung not getting blood, yes I was warned of possible nerve damage but never expected it to happen to me. The good news is the left lung can pick up some slack and I can walk a lot to build up more stamina.
Sorry to report another downside of this surgery, but I would still do the surgery again. RW |
