Default 19 months pos op-phrenic nerve palsy forever

Had VTOS surgery in St. Louis w/Dr Thompson I am pleased with the results but complications with the right lung are permanent. They are an elevated diaphragm and two thirds of that lung not getting blood, yes I was warned of possible nerve damage but never expected it to happen to me. The good news is the left lung can pick up some slack and I can walk a lot to build up more stamina.

Sorry to report another downside of this surgery, but I would still do the surgery again.

I appreciate your candid post and I am truly so sorry to hear this.
I sent you a PM with some additional info. Perhaps it is something to explore, if you haven't already.

with warm wishes -
