without another leg/low back cause?

Have you had a x ray or assessment for any spinal issues/ low back etc?
Are your hips level, or is one side higher/tilted?
how about shoulders even/level?
same for knees?
If those are off correcting that might help overall. (PT, chiro, bodyworker..)

Usually with TOS other causes of symptoms/pain that can be ruled out by bloodwork or imaging is the best way to go. It narrows down the possibilities.

I guess I have a few more questions..
how long have you had TOS?
How is your walking being affected?


There often is a fascia/ myofascial impact with TOS, if you are feeling a little more stiff & slight tightness/sticky tissue , takes awhile to get loosened up and going??

All of Jomars questions should really be addressed. But the answer is yes. My hip flexors, stomach muscles, etc., are all weak because the pec minor and anterior scalene were involved in movements they should not have been.

My diaphram and xyphoid process are extremely tendor from being able to breathe normally since getting botox a month ago. Before my left lung started being able to breathe deeply, three hours after the botox, I got the strangest tingling in my quads that lasted for two to three seconds. I also have nerve pain in my feet and lower leg if not on my full dose, 3 400 mg tablets per day, of neurotin/gabapentin.

Plus if your jugular is being obstructed by one of your scalenes or SCM this would affect balance, walking, etc. b/c of less flow to brain.

I understand where you all are coming from, but have a somewhat different perspective. I do have a lot of problems outside the TOS area. I get unusual tension up and down the left side of my body. Also, my entire jaw and much of my neck on both sides.

I do believe that TOS can have secondary affects that spread out. But I also don't chalk up all of my issues to that. In fact, I feel like the tension problems precede TOS. e.g., I have muscle tension which in turn causes: TOS, neck pain, lower back pain and sciatica.

my experience, in physical therapy the last few months, my therapist has had me start doing leg lifts, laying on foor with my leg supported on a chair or couch, to work ower body nerves, now I bend my leg and with arm to the side and bend arm alternately, working upper body nerve.
Its interresting that my resected leg is much more constricted then my non resected side. i believe everything in our bodies is connected and a problem in one area can have ripple effects in other areas. at least it sure seems to work that way for me

It was weak hip flexors that made my legs weak. They are getting better. I've since had surgery on my bad side and I can still walk, lol!

People have got gangrene of the hands.

I imagine if the artery is compressed it makes the heart work harder. I'm not as tired at all since surgery and I am only eleven days post op.
