One week from tomorrow morning I will be having first rib removal, scalenectomy, and pec minor tenectomy on my left side at Barnes Jewish with Dr. Robert Thompson. Starting to get a little anxious, probably more anxious this time because I still remember how hard those first few weeks were when I had this done on the right side.
Have been frantically trying to get my house in order and everything ready for my three kids at home, and surgery is hitting right in the middle of ball season for two of my kids. I just keep praying for calmness and assurance as we move forward with this surgery. I know that this surgery was a life changer for the better on my right arm after all was healed, so I just have to keep a positive attitude that the left will have the same results. If anybody has had experience with having both sides done, I would love to hear your experiences. |
