Default mass gen long wait to hear from doctor??

Anyone else have this experience? I have heard such great things about them, but have been waiting for a returned phone call for three months, the last month and a half of which I've been following up regularly. We met in person but the doctor has never personally followed up with me-although I've spoken to his nurse, it needs to be him to schedule surgery. Really frustrated--is a typical thing to which I should adjust--I had higher expectations....
