Default Famous People and Celebrities with TOS

I can't say that I've heard of many famous people or celebrities with TOS. I've read about a few baseball pitchers and someone in a band called Hanson but that's about it. It seems like there would be more well known people than that with TOS. Have you guys heard of anyone else?

The actor that played Hercules (on the TV show). Kevin Sorbo. He wrote a book in which he mentioned it. He even ended up with a stroke which he attributed to his chiro, though I'm not sure it wasn't a blood clot from his ATOS. IIRC he had an interesting procedure where his subclavian artery was wrapped in a metal coil for protection. Obviously the MDs thought there was something going on there if they were willing to do that.

The Hanson guy is a guitarist and passed out on stage. I used to play guitar myself and wonder if it contributed (though playing by itself would not cause TOS without other factors involved).

Also if you look up thoracic outlet syndrome on Wikipedia it lists other famous people with TOS.

Here is the link to what ChimarenTaylor1234 was referring to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoraci...#Notable_cases

I also wonder how many people have a mild or moderate case and don't even know it. I think that described me for years before my TOS got really bad.

If it's hard to get a serious case of TOS diagnosed correctly, imagine having mild symptoms like numb hand and occasional shoulder pain diagnosed correctly and quickly. Not likely.

Also, some celebs may keep it private if they fear it will impact their career. An actor or politician may not wish to share their health problems with the world.

Good points. Also, famous people probably get to see top rated doctors a lot sooner than the rest of us.
