@eveewonder I'm surprised anyone even put a stent in a subclavian blood vessel. This is one of the first things I thought of when I learned about TOS (the hard/bad way which is to have it), but when I researched it on the web, I found the medical community had tried that in the past, but the stents collapse because the pressure under the clavicle is too great. I don't have the reference handy. Went looking for it and found this contradiction that they use them for Venous TOS:
http://www.vascular.surgery.ucsf.edu...-syndrome.aspx Maybe what I read was referring to Arterial. And here is a contra-contra-indication: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12822601 Welcome to TOS... Anyway, you said: "I feel the pulse in beating like crazy where my neck connects to my shoulder" and I really wanted to respond to this because I get that too but have it under control. My technique is to do a first rib self adjustment followed by checking my posture: make sure I'm upright, that the collar bone is angled slightly up--not flat or down. I may also need to stretch my chest and pec minor, and massage my neck. Adjusting my rib down is absolutely essential for me. Another member here has this symptom and gets relief by doing a combo stretch in a doorway for the chest and also the neck by tilting his head over and away. Maybe these approaches can help you. You may have to play around with them several times. You can find more info about adjusting the rib by searching the forums. |
