Nelly, you have had both surgeries now, right? Are you feeling better or worse than before surgery?? Or worse, but in a differerent way or worse, but in the same way?

I'm having terrible nerve pain, it's a different kind of pain than before.

I will be in St Louis in March to determine treatment. I wish it were sooner but will take what I can get. Insurance is a bear to work with at times.

Slow and steady seems to be the rate of progress from what I read.
Keep healing!
Who is treating you in STL? I first went to Dr Thompson at Wash U but he was "surgery happy" and wanted to my rib. Then I found Dr Hagan at the neuropax clinic and he performed surgery to release my pec minor and cleaned the scar tissue around my nerves. I've been dealing with TOS for 6 years and so far, the surgery has made it so much worse even after 3 months post-op :-(

I'm sorry you're in more pain. In what area did Dr. Hagan clean up scar tissue? Also, did he perform any procedure related to the scalenes? I hope you find pain relief soon.

He removed a small portion of my scalene muscle to release it, then he cleaned up the scar tissue off the nerves of the brachial plexus. I went for my 3 month post op today, and the nerve pain is the absolute worst. It's mostly my fault though because I have a very busy life being full-time mom and full-time employee and I'm trying to go back to daily activities but masking the pain with pain medications. It's just so hard knowing your limits and trying to push through the pain.

Kcleigh, it is so very frustrating when things have to be done and your body fights you over it. I personally think that some sadistic jerk moves the boundary lines each day just so he can watch and laugh.
I go to stl next month for an eval from Thompson. I am nervous but I have to get a definite diagnosis from someone who knows. I don't know how much longer I can take this unrelenting pain and insurance battle before my brain finally leaks out of my ears. Where is Hagan?
Fortunately my kids are all grown but I feel for your situation. I wish you peaceful and less pain days.
