Default Which doctor??

Hi,

I've continued with pain despite PT, yet some days are better, so all hope is not lost. But...I've reached out to some physicians for options (TOS eval, Botox...or last resort - surgery).

How do you know who is right?

Likely visiting Denver to see Dr. Annest/Sanders for eval and hopefully Botox.

Usually people go with whoever is closer. I do not recommend that you get the surgery too far away from home. I had to travel about 2 hours to see my surgeon and that alone was hard enough with traveling there every 2 weeks.

I had two surgeons in AZ, I made my choice based on diagnosis and method of surgery. The first surgery was offered with removal of scalenes, as well as pec minor release and the rib. That didn't sound very appealing to me, especially since I had a portion of the rib that was "hidden" under the sternum and was causing problems. traditional surgery can't remove that part of the bone.

I ended up having a robotic first rib resection with no muscle removal. I do have 10 incisions on my back though which has been harder to recover from than expected.
