Hi. I just posted in the General forum, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here as well.
I need to know if 9 months of nerve irritation, possibly compressed, has damaged my nerve. I will see an OT in a couple if days but I am wishing for immediate answers, even if not medical but from experience. I am in no pain but feel tingling sensations. |

If you were having nerve damage , most likely you'd be having a lot of pain.
My TOS was RSI based from 15 yrs of assembly work. I had tightness, buzzing & tingling sensations in my forearms and then my shoulders, neck, wrists , elbows and upper back all joined in. But most of it faded away with expert PT & expert chiro care, as well as focussed self care & some gadgets. It took some time , some of it was wasted due to it being a work comp claim..having to follow all the rules and go to their dr... and I didn't know anything about TOS for the first 6 months, my dr didn't mention it by name, or wasn't sure because I was responding to PT, and not in overly severe pain.. highest pain was 6-7 for a short time.. During the worst of the upper body muscle spasms. Have you had any very good PT yet? I have some self care images in my profile album. And the sticky threads about trigger points, I had a lot of those. PT didn't find or do anything about them , but my chiro knew about it and treated them easily. You really need to find a very good PT person/place.. TRPS and muscle tension can make for pain at elbows and wrist due to the tension & pulling on the joints..

Thanks Jo*mar! I see a therapist on Wednesday. I am becoming very impatient. I just do not want this to progress. I do have a chiro who wants to view an MRI. I have been told she is a really good therapist. I am so thankful I am not in pain. My tingling has been all over my arm, different places each time. I have had tingling in my pinky and ring finger and just recently have slight discomfort in my inner elbow when using the phone. Anyway I have much to tell the therapist. I'll check out your profile album. And more sticky threads.
Thanks again! |
