Default Facial numbness or "tightness"

Anyone have facial involvement in the affected side with TOS? I've been having a "tight" sorta feel to the left jaw and facial area, along with the left sided shoulder pain affected by TOS.

A few in the past have had TMJ along w/TOS, or it might be trigger points -

check the EAR & JAW PAIN section - SCM & Traps..

Thanks for the reply. Certainly not asking for a diagnosis. Trigger points would sound about right. It's not a pain, just a sensation and tightness I can feel from shoulder and neck area. I thought I read somewhere that Chris Carpenter (Cardinals pitcher) described a progression involving his jaw/face??

I never had it but seems to be common. Usually resolves after surgery.

I have pain in my lower jaw and around my eye, worse on my worst side. I also get a stabbing pain in my cheek sometimes if I use my arms too much (when I used to drive, for example). This pain often proceeded a migraine.

I had facial pain before surgery but it got significantly worse after. I got a tight, sheath-like feeling down the side of my head, neck and into my shoulder following surgery. My surgeon said this was attributable to scar tissue.

I apparently have bilateral NTOS and have had jaw pain, facial tightness, a pulling feeling from the jaw to under the eye on the worse side (right side) since symptoms began in 2009. Self-massage of the right SCM and muscles of the face, particularly the masseter, helps although it never fully resolves the issue. Also, moist heat applied to the neck and face helps. I understand that pain/discomfort in the jaw area is a fairly common TOS symptom.

Thanks for the reply. So...you've had TOS since '09? No relief or treatment?
