Default I finally found you. Some news

HI Everyone....I have finally found this site again. This is wonderful. I was Rachael from Canada in the other BT site. A bit of great news...I finally found someone here that will DX TOS. I am travelling about 5 hours to get to him, but I see him on Thursday. I have gone back to school and seem to be in a major flare that I am not sure how it came on this time. I usally know what I did to bring one on. I am sitting at a desk in accounting for 4 hours writing...does that make sense?
What do I tell this doc and how do I approach him to make sure this is a successful visit? I have waited a long time for this....
Next question: You may remember me telling you that I had filed a complaint against my former company with Human Rights. They wish to settle...should I get a lawyer? How do I make sure my rights are not violated again?
W/C has been amazing. 100% support from them. Shocking I know. I was the one who researched and found Dr. Bethune for TOS demanded from my family doc I see him..it was granted. W/C wished me loads a luck and said they hoped he would help me. wow EH? I have missed the info on this site. You are all amazing people who have given me the best of advice.
Rach

Hi Rachael-
I'm glad you found us here.

I hope your trip to that dr is a good one.
We lost all the old threads and posts on the other site or I would dig some of the info up for you about appointments/results ect.

as far as the settlement , maybe call around and interview with some attys {to see what they say about the case- get as much info as you can at those first meetings} check with many before deciding anything.

Default Welcome here

Hi Rachael,
As Jo said I agree, interview some attorneies about the settlement. There are many future problems that can arise if you don't have someone to advise you on a proper wording of a settlement. Don't lose on something as they will favor theirself, not you and you don't want to get burned.

I have been through US settlements for everything from workers comp issues to civil liability in the work place.
Glad to see you, I missed everyone over the summer.
Di

Default Hi All

Hi Guys....I decided not to settle for anything until I see an attorny. I have been in contact with one and meet with him next week. The settlement they offered is nothing compared to what I have already lost.
I see the doc tomorrow. I am excited and nervous all at once. I am in a bit of a flare up so the long drive is not something I am looking forward too and I am hoping he will actually help me. I found his name on the tellmeabouttos website, but I see you guys have him listed here on BT2. After 3 years of this chronic pain I really need some answers...you know..someone who will listen to me and really understand what I am going through and want to help. I hope he is not like the others and dismiss it all to RSI. I have been off work for nearly a year now and it has not gone away. I do nothing repetitive now and I still flare up real good at times. I truely feel as though he is my last hope. I pray this trip isn't for nothing...I really want my life back. I know you all understand that.

RAch

Good luck with your appt and the long drive... ooochy

Do you know how much time has been allowed for your appt??

that might be an indication of how exstensive his exam will be.

jot down all of your symptoms so none are forgotten.
and what specific motions or movements increase pain or cause pain after {delayed pain}

are you taking your xrays /MRIs with you or sent them ahead ?
