My botox shot was not ultrasound guided.

In the scalenes?? Dr. Sanders does lidocaine shots without ultrasound, but only on one side and the effects only last about 4-6 hours. I didn't realize how scary that really is until after the fact. He is kind of amazing, but he is also semi-retired and does not do surgery by himself anymore, he only assists.

Eight, sorry I misspoke yesterday. Now that I think about it, the doctor was constantly seeing the area in a monitor before giving the injection. Must have been ultrasound. At the start of the procedure, they told me it had a small chance of hitting some critical nerves/muscles but they had crash carts anyway and that pretty much was the only thing on my mind then :)
