re comp vocation forcing
Hi Mucker,
My you hve been around!! I find that a good sturdy dr's note saying say oh you can't work until you are reassessed after surgery works wonders. They take into account all your skills and your abilities what you are educated for and they get a vocational 'person' to assess what you can do given your LEVEL OF ABILITY which is told to comp by your doctor unless they decide to use their own level which is no more than 10lbs lifting, no overhead work and no prolonged work positioning. I hope that this helps, but you probably already know that. Dr's note from your doctor trumps their info.....unless they fight it but your doc is the most important esp if he gives lots of details and gives you 'objective info' which is always what they want....but given this beast of tos there is not much objective info unless you have very blatant vascular test that says yes to tos which I did have, but my doc trumped all their info!!!! Be informed make sure your doc knows tht thre will be lots of documentation for wsib and that they need OBJECTIVE INFO.....if he says thre isn't any tell him you know that there isn't much but that is what they need....they don't like it when you tell them u have pain with no documented info....even if your arm is purple or you can't feel your face, neck back arm or have that guy behind you with the red hot poker ready to ram down your head through your neck and down to your mid back oh and he keeps it on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! take care, Victoria |
