Smile She Lives!

hey, cyn,

i spoke to annie a few days ago. was getting worried myself, so i actually placed a call to her mommy after not hearing back from the girl after leaving a couple of voicemails and emailing her i think, too. hoping against hope, at the time, that the operator had given me the correct listing for her parents' telephone number, as it really had no idea what their names were mind you - but it turned out to be right and i did get a call from annie herself the very next day.

i was very relieved to hear from her! she said she was on fire island visiting a brother, i think, and had not been checking her phone for messages; she's also staying off the computer as both talking on the cell and doing much of anything on the PC flare her sx something awful...

but she sounds pretty good and is hanging in there. i know her family is making sure she's well taken care of and i think her firm has been pretty flexible about when she has to come back to work. hopefully, we haven't lost her to the eastern seaboard forever and she will head back out west at some point, and soon - but you never know, she may be strung out on chicken soup now and simply fade away quietly, never to be heard from again...

good of you to post asking after her, cyn. i am sure we all miss our annie! it's no picnic recovering from a complete scalenectomy plus the pec minor release that she had, and remember, her injury was sustained several years ago so she's got some healing to do yet.

annie, if you're reading this... all is forgiven!! come home; we need you here!
