I am going to be getting botox in my middle scalene after having a 1st rib resection and scalenectomy. I thought I had an anterior and middle scalenectomy but now I'm thinking the doctor only spliced part of the middle scalene...I've taken so much medicine I don't remember things well....

Anyway, I called my surgeon because I started having more problems since the weather turned cold...hand falling asleep at night, numbness and coldness in the fingers, less energy.... and he scheduled for me to have botox injections in the middle scalene.

I am hoping that the botox along with my new Physical Therapist, which is basically doing rolfing on me along with strengthening exercises and moist heat will help.

I had such a positive effect from the botox injections before, so I am optimistic. I am glad that I am taking care of the issues as soon as the symptoms started so that it doesn't inhibit the regrowth of the nerves as much.

I'm getting this done a week from tomorrow. Starting to get excited!!
