Hey guys i was curious for some insight on good posture whilst having cervical ribs. Im 23, female. I have all 3 forms of compression and lately my thumb has been swelling a lot. I've been taking some aspirin to relieve the pain and a semi clot-preventer. I still have plenty of color in my thumb,( i had assumed clots made your finger lose color), some burning and just the general swelling.
First, is there any position that you can be in to help relieve the rib compression? I feel like sitting up straight would pinch it MORE. Second, any idea on the thumb swelling? My arm seem a-okay, just the thumb and sometimes the other fingers. Third, if they are clots, is it deadly? I tend to kinda flip out and worry a lot when my hand swells. I'm sure you're all familiar with over worrying as well, haha. Thanks for any help and comfort! |

It might be best to seek out a very good PT or DC to evaluate what would be best for you.
Ram rod military posture often is too straight & tense. If your C ribs are a fairly large /complete set at some point you might need to look into surgery ( with an expert surgeon for best results) You would probably know if you get a clot, major swelling , hot, painful. https://www.google.com/search?q=clot...#q=blood+clots
