Thank you for contacting me regarding workers' compensation. I appreciate hearing from people who care about the important issues facing our state. As Governor, I am committed to ensuring quality health care for injured workers and improving California's business environment. Workers' compensation costs were skyrocketing before I took office, and my reforms have lowered costs and ensured that objective medical standards are used to compensate workers based on the extent of their injuries. As a result, premiums have fallen dramatically since 2003 and saved businesses billions of dollars that they have used to hire more workers. These efforts have helped to restore prosperity to our economy, creating more than 650,000 new jobs in California, improving accountability in the system and reducing costs by providing for prompt, effective medical treatment. The reforms also created medical provider networks and a new permanent disability rating schedule and reward employers who return workers to their jobs. Again, thank you for taking the time to write. I welcome any ideas and comments that can help improve the future of California. Sincerely, Arnold Schwarzenegger |

ok so basically it is alright to punish the injured worker by getting rid of his/her job and hire 650.000 new workers in their place and save more money by making workers go back to work injured no matter the situation......so we can make more money.....oh did I get the feeling the only care for the injured worker was how fast to boot his/her rear end out and get more people who can keep the economy going!!!!! disgusting!!!!!!!!hmmmm loss of respect for that one!!!

Arnold....
Can he get so low as to not be intune with the "PEOPLE"? He has NO clue. #1 Saving $$ is his main responsibility for company's. Who employs the people? #2 Company's premiums have NOT gone down! #3 Who is monitoring the insurance company's? #4 The insurance company's r the ones making the billions of $$'s by standing off the "true" injured workers and the attorney they hire to fight us. #5 Go into ANY CA gov office and see the UNergonomic enviroment they ALL work in. #6 I can go on ...whats the use? To ALL TOS patients here Fight like HELL and Never, NEVER give up! Go after the insurance company's, the idiot docs and STAND FIRM |
