Default Deciding on a Dr - Annest / Sanders or Thompson

I have been struggling with neurogenic TOS for about 2 years after a fall which dislocated my shoulder. I have seen just about everybody and I am ready to do the surgery. I live in California so I have considered using Gelabert but he doesn't do supraclavicular which Dr. J recommends because I need neurolysis due to some scarring from my injury.

Here is my question: Have any of you had experience good or bad with Dr. Annest (who is assisted by Dr. Sanders) or Dr. Robert Thompson in St. Louis? I have seen them both but I am still on the fence.

Thank you!

Thumbs up

I have seen Dr Annest/Sanders for rib resections and can HIGHLY recommend them! They are willing to work with Insurance, can handle patients traveling from out of State and they are really great at directing your Dr's/PT at home for optimal outcome. Dr. Annest will have you get some Feldenkreis PT pre-surgery and while in-hospital.

You would be in very good hands here. Feel free to review my posts.

Thanks so much! I am meeting with Dr. Annest next week and have met with Dr. Sanders who I found very helpful and sharp notwithstanding his 80+ years. It is terrific that he is still dedicated to helping people with this problem.

You are so welcome! I am certain you will have a thoroughly good experience!

Of course, outcomes are all on an individual basis
