The only thing I would caution is watch the temp setting - and keep an eye on how long you you stay in til you know what YOUR limit is. Dr T does say heat, like cold, will excite, not calm those nerves, which is the opposite of what we want. I find great muscle pain relief and tp relaxation with 15 minutes or so in the hot tub. But you need to find out what works for your body, and maybe set the temp a few degrees lower than recommended.
Di, what is yours set at? I love to get the jets aimed right ON my trigger points, but can't take that powerful stimulation more than a minute or so. It hurts SO good though!! |

I like to get under the most powerful jet with a towel on my back- it reduces the 'itchies' that i get if i sit under a hard jet w/o the towel.
just a thin towel is the best.

I could live in mine. They are work though. I find I have to empty mine and refill it about three or four times a years....a lot of skin gets in it. THe heat, is not like a cool pool, so you have to use a lot of chemicals to keep it hygenic and balanced. PH + PH -, algicide, chlorine, Alkalinity + and -, metalic removers. Filter replacements. Bill cost for heating. Now I f\have mine in the garage and family have grave concerns because of the water/steam and the I-Beam supporting the home rusting, also tools kept in the garage. I do open Door and overhead too. I do not know that I would use it in the winter outside. First of all because it cost $35 dollars a month in the nice weather 600 gallons, to heat it, I can;t even imagine outside in the winter what it would cost in our area the Pocono's. So if you are in the west and its warm GREAT! There is a lot of cost with chemicals if a budget is tight, could be a burden. I thought about an inside tub with jets. Even those, gals have said maintaing is a problem sd the jets grime up. But theraputically, a hot tub will warm to the bone, massaging is wonderful, there is 0ften a hydrotherapy whirlpool action. A wonderful night sleep after that. It really keeps me from needing extra medications. di
