When I lean back I often feel something shift or move below plexus. On same side as TOS. Anyone else feel this or know what causes it?

Also I'm scheduled for appointment with pain management dr. at the end of August.
I'm supposed to get injection. Does this cause any problems or pain?

1. Need more details.
2. Get an anatomy book, or go online to get some images of the BP to see where it passes. It covers a large area from your neck to your shoulder where it branches out. There are lots of things in and around it and/or its branches.
3. when you say "move" can you be a bit more descriptive?

It feels like a shifting of something. I'm sure it barachial plexus but lower then usual shoulder pain.

Sorry, not really enough information. I still say get an anatomy book to see if you can pinpoint more specifically what you suspect.

For example...I have a weird clicking/popping that results in a flare up in the sternal end of my left clavicle. When I turn to the anatomy book I notice that it is connected to the manubrium and sternum by a bunch of ligaments. There is also a ligament between the clavicle and the first rib...ALL stuff around the BP. I suspected some type of subluxation of the clavicle or tiny dislocations and relocations...when I saw the PT, she confirmed that yes, I have a hypermobile left clavicle..and not only on that end but on the other end where it connects with the Acromium a part of the shoulder blade (also referred to as the AC joint). The "movement" can impinge on the BP and other vascular structures...hence the periodic flare ups. But that is me.

Billy- trigger point injections will usually be a little painful at the injection site for a few days, but hopefully that will be followed by a few weeks of relief. I think it is generally cumulative, in that the more injectrions you have the faster they will work and the less they'll hurt. I know it worked that way for me with botox- thrid time was a charm,

I have had many trigger point injections and am a huge proponant of them!!! I can't say how amazing they are....I had bupivocaine and saline...so anesthetic and slightly salty water. They worked for me in my trigger points about 9 injections a time...every two weeks and it lasts for about 5-6 days if you rest the day of injections and the day after......then the meds have a chance to settle and get into the area you need it in.

my pain levels with the needles went from an 8 to a 5 and I felt amazing.....ok 5 for some is high, but try living at 8 or 9 for a few weeks in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyhow yes injections rock!!!!! They are totally mint!!!
I did feel a little bit of tenderness at injection site, but no pain as the doctor did it....so have fun if you so choose but never hurts to try something that could help to decrease pain.

oh don't go cleaning (my outlet) or doing something you were unable to do before the injections as you still have the problem the injections only help with the pain!!! sometimes they give them before PT to help you work harder, but I think you are still masking symptoms and if you do you could do damage if not VERY careful....but that said GO FOR IT~!!!!!!
