I'm located in the US, so I don't have any experience with Dr. Al Moran. I was passing along what I read. If you do a search in the TOS facebook group and order by "most recent" you can expand posts and read the comments on them. I'm seeing a physiotherapist in Ohio, so I'm not sure that will help. However, it's worth asking here (as you have done) and in the facebook group to see if anyone knows of someone! Even if you do opt for surgery, physical therapy can be very helpful before or after, as many people will respond to it. |

Similar situation
Hello,
I have TOS in my left upper extremity due to an extra cervical rib causing vascular and neurogenic issues. My doctor originally believed it was just neurogenic TOS as the vascular component occurs with < 1% of cases. When I visited the Dr. that performed the EMG she is the one that believed there was a vascular component due to a positive addisons test. After this my Dr. ordered a CT w contrast which showed a severely compressed sub clavain artery with post-stenotic dilation - this increases the risk for a clot to form. I then got referred to a neurosurgeon, orthopedic surgeon and vascular surgeon in my city. All 3 agreed it required surgery but would not touch it and from there I got referred to Dr.Graham Roche-Negel in Toronto - He is the #1 vascular surgeon in TO and actually runs a TOS clinic. I will be undergoing surgery with him in a month or two. Good luck to your daughter! |
Happy to hear you have found Dr.Graham Roche-Negel. I have read good things about him. Praying for a successful surgery for you.
I continue to try to search out Physio help for my daughter while waiting on further CT scan and Dr's appointment to determine if require surgery. Her pain is getting worse since stopped Chrio. She may go back as the ART was helping. Take care and keep me updated on your surgery. |
If you do find good DRs or PT, etc please add their info on our sticky thread..

[QUOTE=SURGRN;1267440]Hello,
How did you make out with your surgery? Haven't been on this site for awhile and just rereading posts and came across yours where you said you were having surgery in a month back in September. Hope all has gone well and you are recovering. |
