Hi All,

First of all, thank you all for sharing your experiences with TOS. I was in complete dark couple of months back when diagnosed with Arterial TOS. I had no idea where to go or what to do. Having gone through this forum posts, I have gained so much knowledge about TOS and my own condition.

I am new here. Pls do excuse my ignorance.

I have been carefully scanning through the posts, and find Dr Donahue and Dr Pearl are highly reputed surgeons for TOS.

Are there any specific Dr. recommendations for Arterial TOS? Pls advice.

Are you looking mainly for surgeons, due to high pain or extreme symptoms?
Who diagnosed your ATOS, and what is the cause of it - if you know or suspect any factors.
Have you had any expert PT , chiropractic ??
What testing was done?

I have small aneurysm in my subclavian artery. Consulted with a vascular surgeon and after CAT scans and Ultrasound he diagnosed it as ATOS. He did not suggest any PT or chiropractic therapy and said surgery is the only way forward for ATOS. I do not have any pain, just the bulge in the artery.

Are there any alternate treatment option other than surgery that any ATOS patient has tried?

Did drs say what was the cause of your aneurysm?
Perhaps an extra cervical rib, other bony compression or artery anomalies?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have an extra cervical rib (first rib) which is compressing the artery.

Well that is the problem right there...Most likely if that rib is removed the rest may sort itself out.. Unless your posture is very forward compressing the upper chest area..working to open and correct posture may give some relief..
Most likely that C rib was always there, did you have any issues related to arm use as a child?
