Default anyone with TOS who can help me?

Hi! I'm new here and I don't know if there is a thread for this already but I would love if someone could help me out!

My boyfriend found out last year that he has TOS on his rt side under his arm. He has been taking xeralto as they thought he had a blood clot. its been over a year and he is still in so much pain. He is 30 yrs old now. We have no idea how he managed to get it he has always been a very active person, running daily lifting weights, but he has sinced had to limit this as he is in too much pain. He does try to run still just on the treadmill and he has started stretching. actually that's all he does lol he says his spine is not straight and always feeling hunched over. so we try and do some stretches but nothing seems to relieve his pain!

He complains of swelling and numbness in the arm as well as loss of feeling in the fingers. He is a laboratory and xray technologist and always working with his hands and lifting patients so he has a lot of pain daily.

He has had multiple ultrasounds and all he knows is that he is waiting for an apt to have a surgary where they remove his top rib to release where it is pinched off. Excuse me if I am not explaining myself very well its a little confusing lol

I guess what I am here looking for is help from anyone who is going through or has someone going through this and what do you take for pain? do you have any excercises you find that helps relieve pain? anything anyone can offer me is greatly appreciated. It is breaking my heart to see him day in day out not be able to do anything and always complaining of pain. Hes said multiple times he feels like he is going to die. Sounds extreme but I cant imagine his pain. Please someone give me any ways to help relieve his pain!

thanks so much!

Ashley & Michael

I Should also add that it is venous as he has all these symptoms

paleness/pallor in the hands, a weak pulse in the affected arm, coldness in the hands, numbness, tingling, aching, swelling of the fingers, and weakness of the neck or arms.

Ashley has he tried any type of PT or soft tissue release on this pec minor, scalenes, Str his upper back. Sounds like he has a vascular form of TOS. If he does require surgery the outcome of that type is usually better than neurogentic. If he is in that much pain the doctors need to control it with medication. I would recommend seeing a good vascular surgeon in the area or pain management to control his pain level until you find a cure. It's very important that he has his pain somewhat controlled.
