Default For Curious

www.tmb.state.tx.us

Go to "services for consumers" and then "find your physician".

I hope so too.

I got into the Texas site yesterday and put in names of some surgeons in Texas. I could not believe how many of them have had malpractice suits against them and strangely "ALL HAVE BEEN DIMISSED"!!! Hmmmm!

I am sure this happens in other states, also. Could it be these suits are shoved under the rug and or quietly taken off the books behind closed doors. Hmmmm, again.

hubby and i have many dr's as personal friends. i would look at the list with cases that have been dismissed with an open mind.

with a gazillion ads from the ambulance chaser lawyers on tv...i can see how people can get sue happy. cases with no merit will be dismissed.

Oh yes, there are many frivilous lawsuits filed every single day asking for the moon. One of my closet friends is a physician, my brother in law is a physician, hubby's golf buddies are physicians as are three cousins. But, they are not surgeons. Some of these names listed have had 3-4 suits brought against them and all have been dismissed. This does concern me.
