Default Update on my struggle with TOS

After having 3 surgeries on my left side and 1 on my right side, a spinal cord simulator implanted in my neck my pain is still getting worse.

For the first 3 months of the spinal cord stimulator, my pain went from a 8-9 on my worst days to an average of 3-4 with worst days being a 5-6. But as my history of TOS nothing lasts. After 3 months my spinal cord stimulator started helping less and less. Now all it does is take off the edge sometimes.

I have seen a pain management team at the local Veterans Admistration Hospital and they have referred me to one of the best pain clinics that the VA has. They have also said that I have Complex Pain Syndrome since In have been in pain for so long.

In May, I will be spending 19 days in a VA hospital in Florida in their inpatient pain program. They think they can at least help me with my daily tasks and my quailty of life and might be able to help me reduce my pain.

I will be doing the following daily while I am there from 7am to 4pm.

Aqua therapy
Physical therapy
Occupation therapy
Walking program
Daily meetings with multiple doctors
Pain management classes
Recreation therapy
Social programs

I hope it will help me.

I will post and update afterwards.
