Default advice

Hello,

I had a saphenous vein patch due to a chronic venous occlusion in my L arm. Sx was this past July. In regard to venous swelling/congestion my symptoms have improved but now I am getting what I can only describe as neuropathic symptoms. Cold hand, tingling/burning in my fingers, numbness in my hand.

The sx I saw basically said nothing to do. From his point of view vein looks ok. Narrowed but doesn't swell up anymore.

I am scheduled for an EMG study in a couple weeks. I have tried ART/manual therapy. Relieves symptoms for maybe a day, then they come back.

I am moving to Sacramento Ca area at the end of July. Anyone have any advice on the next step or anyone that specializes in the Sacramento/SF area?

thank you

I would look into upright health. They have a YouTube channel and their owner used to have TOS symptoms. They are expensive from what I can see but they have over 50 reviews on Yelp that are all 5*. They focus in corrective exercise and movement.

Of course you'll probably want a doctor.. but this seems like a logical step before surgery.. if you decide to check them out please let me know how it goes

I would seek out a TOS specialist at Stanford. I saw a two different vascular surgeons who said I was fine and nothing they could do, but saw a TOS specialist at Stanford who was able to identify the problem with the right tests/images and found that I needed surgery. Not the outcome I wanted, but hopeful for some relief.

Explore all of our sticky threads on the TOS forum main page.. Drs & PTs listings, some may be outdated , but the info can still lead to other connections..
