Socks now seem to be made very tight. Hanes, Fruit, and off-brands at Walmart and Target are all being marketed as "stretchable" fabric but in reality they are just so TIGHT. When the sock lays by itself, it looks like a kid sock! I put them on and they are so constrictive.
I have size 10 inch feet (wear a size 10.5 or 11 shoe). My feet are narrow. I even tried "Big and Tall" but they were just LONGER but still very tight and small. Where does one go to get an actual big loose sock? I like quarter length so "staying up" is not a problem if they are loose. I tried a Darn Tough sock but it was so incredibly tight. I just couldn't believe how tight socks are. I contacted the people who used to make my socks and they don't make them anymore. All their new socks are this "stretch fabric" which is great for super heroes but not me. Furthermore, I'm not even going to blame TOS for this. How can healthy people even wear these tight socks! Help! |
