Default Another Door Closes

Hello to all. It seems to me, after a work place injury there is no financial help for a disabled person on any government level. I was cut off of compensation. My doctor had me apply for canada pension disability benefits I got word yesterday that I don't qualify for that. Today I may have another door closed. I was told to apply for sick benefits through EI. So here goes! Wish me luck.

Hairdresser... I am very sorry to hear about your woes! I am un-familiar with your labor and industry system and wish I were able to help in lack of better offerings may I at least send you out my thoughts and prayers !!!

If the Canadian sys is like the US - most will get a denial first - and you can appeal or keep applying.
Best of luck it's a hard thing to rho through I'm sure.

Jo as always well put your analogy of a situation is so completely true and having said that I have over done it and require a break as I have been writing way to much some of it just plain silly and others hoping to console oters... as all may know me I wish I were in a position to help others fully !!!

Thankyou again everyone. Just got home. My poor nose, yes another door closed. Appealing wc's decision, mri on Friday, I guess it's more waiting. Medical evidence? More waiting. Then appeal cpp's decision. I am very lucky to have a husband that is working and able to support me. My prayers go out to all that have no support. But I'm still determined to crawl out of this hole I fell down in. Honestly I would have been better off not going through this process at all. Thanks again to all.

Default So Sorry

Hairdresser...I am so sorry for all you have been through. Why are you cut off from W/C what happened? Have you had any docs confirm your dx of TOS? Maybe you can PM me with more info. I had a few issues in the beginning but once I was dx'ed with the TOS, they accepted it. Can I help you with anything? You are only 2 hours from me. Let me know
Rach

I have nothing to offer but my sincere support that you are able to get it worked out. As Jo said, denial usually comes first- appeal appeal appeal.

I have no experience with this (yet.....and hopefully never). All I can offer is my support and prayers, and say appeal, appeal, appeal.
