Default alexander technique

I just wanted to say that I've been doing Alexander for about 2 months now, once a week. Classes for me are $40 an hour, but they often go longer. My feeling of physical well being and health as well as pain reduction is undeniably noticeable. I feel so much better for having taken Alexander classes. Anyone suffering from RSI should certainly seriously consider spending the money and the time studying Alexander with a certified teacher. Its my favorite thing each week and I can't wait for the classes. When I get out I feel about a thousand times better. I have experienced immense pain reductions by just listening to my teacher and trying to apply what I hear immediately in a calm, controlled environment where I can let go.

Alexander, up to this point, mainly focuses on learning to sit right and how to relax the neck and back muscles by not forcing them to be anything but in their natural position. Effectively, to quote my teacher, Alexander teaches you how to "get out of the way of yourself so that your body can do its job".

At this point, TOS is something I view as a result of things I have done, and am continuing todo. Alexander offers the hope that, once I get well, I will not repeat the mistakes that led up to me getting TOS-like symptoms.

Something to think about!
