Works some of the time. - problem is the kids tend to run up from behind and bump you BEFORE you can employ defensive maneuvers, darn it!!

Is it just me or does Wal-Mart take the prize for kids running wild without parental supervision... or even with???

I've always been a bit claustrophobic in crowds cause I'm short (5ft2), but now I REALLY avoid 'em!

Beth I am 5'9" and seems the kids these days are at least my height are better my children for example my 14 yr old 5' 11" and 16yr ol 6' 4" so I feel like a dwarf and I do hate crowds and get panic attacs about geeting hittin hit or run over

not a funny response but if someone knows they're going to be in a big crowd for a spell might want to try wearing a sling of some sorts. maybe the kind they send you home with post surgery. could work with a neck collar too-for those with cervical issues.

I forget who it was that put a sign on herself saying "please don't touch me, it will really hurt" when she went out in public

I've found that just wearing socks and a smile tends to clear a crowd out REAL quick.

Seriously, I had a Fraternity brother in college who employed this tactic if there was a party going on at his apartment and he was ready for bed. He looked like the "Missing Link," so needless to say, that place cleared out PRONTO!!

Default My Sign

Yup, it is me. That was my sword and helmet

The sigh said:
" Medical Problems
No Hugs or Handshakes;
Touching
Causes Pain"

I wore it because of RSD causing pain at the slightest touch.
Once I got the pump I retired the sign. People who know me are still very gentle which I appreciate because any jarring hurts too, but from TOS now.
I avoid crowds or if I'm in church i leave early, while they sing the last song.
When I need to avoid touch or being bumped into I wear my sling. I need
it anyway due to the heavy arms...really I need 2 slings
Hope
