Default I might come to the states

Hi all,

I'm now planning to visit my extended family in Kansas City sometime in October or November "IF" new med just recently prescribed works well for me.
I'm wondering if I could see some of you in that area in person while I'm in K.C.

I must wait for 4 weeks to figure out the new med (actually eicosapentaenoic acid or EPA) really does the job or not. So I can't say that my plan is finalized but I really, really would like to see other TOSers since I've never seen one (other than myself).

My doc may be expecting the same effect reported in this article.

If EPA or DHA works, I'll be amazed

Default Great News!

FarEast,
That is wonderful that you are coming to the states!

Unfortunately, I'm on the west coast and a long way from Kansas City.
Hopefully you will find other tos'ers in that area as it is really wonderful to meet your friends on the forum

Heart Fantastic News! I Hope It Works Out for You, Y-San

gen'ki desu ka? i hope that the fish oil tx help you... STAT! i was also just looking at some other supplements to reduce inflammation, and came up with ginger root, evening primrose oil, bromelain, vitamin e, white willow bark -- in addition to omega 3 fish oils (which are excellent of course).

of course you do have to be careful, i suppose, about interactions, just as you would with anything else... but i dare say these natural supplements will be far more safe and have less troublesome side effects than OTC rx's like the NSAID's...

any lay-overs in CA planned on that flight to kansas city, yasuko-san (she asked, hopefully?) it sure would be wonderful to meet you face-to-face. hopefully, one of the TOS'ers who is active on the forum and closer to your destination will see this and chime in with some ideas of how to hook up!

i'm getting the distinct feeling that a "convention" of sorts cannot be too far off in our future, you guys. whether it's in vegas or CA, PA or CO or... i know not where! --- i totally think we should make it happen! am i just making this up in my fantasy-riddled head, or have there been dreams posted on threads recently about just such a thing?

but i digress. yasuko-san, please let me know when you're coming to the US so that i can PM you my phone # at least. and if you do stop anywhere in CA maybe i can come and meet you. don't want to twist your arm, now - OK, that expression should NOT be used around a TOS'er! gomen nasai.

sorosoro shitsurei shimasu...

Default Yes, I'd love to !

Hi All,
I'm already in a "going-on-a-trip" mode
I'll choose the flight with United Airlines since I'm saving UA mileage.
That means, the 1st stop on the way to K.C. is LAX !
I thought the 1st stop was Chicago but UA has changed their route since the late 90's...

According to UA's website, they don't give me enough lay-over time...
It's so short that I can't even go to the bathroom let alone custom... well, it might work out somehow, I hope. I'll call a travel agency to find out about the lay-over stuff.

It's too soon to say (I don't even know the new med works or what) but I'd love to meet up TOSers at LAX or ,on the way back, SFO. So, OCgirl, Alison, and others who are in LA or SF area, I'd appreciate if you could come and meet me at the airport in persoooooon.

I have to work hard and pinch a penny for the trip

Yasuko
P.S. Alison, I don't speak standard Japanese since I was born and raised in Kansai area. Be ready for your worst nightmare (LOL)

Heart

I am too far away now, and probably couldn't have managed a trip to LAX without a major meltdown - but,

I do wish you a safe, wonderful trip and hope that some of the closer TOSers can perhaps meet up with you somehow!!!

I think it is wonderful that the Internet allows us all to "meet"...
