Thumbs up Cured from Sarno's book?

Has anyone here been cured from reading John Sarno's book?

I know some people have gone through multiple surguries only to wind up in worse pain. Have you [if applicable] read any of Sarno's books?

I'm reading the divided mind and am curious if the diagnosis of TMS has had an effect on anyone heres pain.

I started to read it way back in 03, but it just didn't fit for me.
I have heard that one or two on a RSI news group have seen results from it.

EFT {emotional freedom technique} a systematic tapping on certain points -I think it did help me with my RSI in 99 , but I haven't really tried it again for anything lately.

this was in the EFT newsletter I get-
http://www.emofree.com/articles.aspx?id=8

Using EFT for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

EFT's results for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are often impressive. In most cases, the discomfort or pain vanishes or noticeably reduces within a few minutes of applying EFT. Also, repeated applications of EFT often eliminate the problem so that it no longer re-appears daily, weekly or monthly. This is relief at its best and doesn't involve drugs or surgeries of any kind.

For those who don't achieve instant results, EFT is still likely to provide relief. However, in these cases more sophisticated approaches are usually necessary. Interestingly, we find that the principle cause of the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, at least in stubborn cases, involves one or more unresolved emotional issues such as anger, fear, guilt or trauma. The body has a way of manifesting physical issues when emotional issues go unresolved, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is one of those physical manifestations. EFT is ideally designed to address these emotional issues and, once properly resolved, the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is likely to subside.

it wasn't appropriate for me either but has been a topic on the Sorehand site. you will find lots of comments about it there if you do a search. you might want to rethink your term "cured". some of the folks that saw their initial rsi turnaround are quite young and were able to catch their symptoms at the onset. i'd like to see a study of how people do long term.
