Does anyone use one? Does it help at all or could it worsen TOS symptoms?

I haven't used a TENS - but I have used similar stims- an INF stim at chiro office {wonderful!} and I bought a EMS stim for home{muscle stim}.

I use my stim whenever I start to get tight in my upper back {lats & rhomboids usually} but have used it on my forearms and low back too.

If you go somewhere for a treatment be sure they keep the settings low so you don't end up with delayed pain or trigger points from too much muscle activity at one time.
You need to start easy and then build up.

TENS is more for nerve pain if I recall, is that what you have?

Yes, because on my right arm. I have radial,median, ulnar , and cts besides brachial plexus. The settings are different and some seem to work while others irritate it more. I think their going to get me one for home.

i think it's worth a try. i have used one. the first one provided didn't help and i had to switch to another kind. i have found it irritating at times when i have had sensitivity to vibration. if your insurance company is providing it they will probably supply a rented one and then if you need it for a long duration and find using it valuable they will buy it for you. the rental gives you the opportunity to find out what works best for you. if you are in PT they are usually helpful in instucting you how to use it and in choosing which one might be well suited to you. good luck btw-we had a thread recently on placemnt of electrodes for TENS

I love mine. I have an interferential stim, and I love to use it up and down my arm for wrist pain, and on my back when things get tight.

I use mine sometimes. It doesn't help me much though. It's worth a try, maybe it will work for you.

I use mine whenever I get in a flare...it makes the 10 pain go down to an 8.5. The difference between being able (with meds) to sleep it off and just plain tortureous hell. It doesn't fix anything, it just fakes out my brain... takes the focus off my suicide pain and puts it onto the electric shocks.

I vote you get one.
