I had my reduction surgery on Thursday and am recovering well. I was really worried as the Denver doctors said that I could "throw a clot" due to my very occluded subclavian vein but so far my arm has not swollen. I'm trying to be up and walk some as I was told this is the way to avoid clotting but it's a little hard to do that when I'm on vicodin and using lots of ice. It's too early to tell of any reduction of TOS symptoms but I actually did this surgery to get ready for the rib removal TOS surgery. I'll check in with a vascular surgeon in a month or so after the healing progresses.

Until tonight, I never saw this post. This needs its own thread...it's way too easy to get lost in the other postings here, and Fern, you ARE important!
